Sounds

For this edition of Studio Sounds, Hugo Ruyant shares a playlist that moves through distortion, excess, intimacy, and release—mirroring the emotional and visual turbulence of LEAVE A MESS AGE. Blending experimental electronics, hip hop, club music, ambient textures, and melancholic pop, the selection drifts between noise and stillness, irony and vulnerability.

Much like the exhibition itself, the playlist oscillates between two states: hyperactive energy and contemplative retreat. Some tracks pulse with the overstimulation of contemporary life, while others slow into moments of suspension and introspection. Listening alongside the works, sound becomes another layer of the exhibition’s shifting emotional landscape—messy, restless, humorous, and deeply human.
