A Little Lamb...

Oona Baron

In the series FROM OUR WALLS, members of the team talk about works in the gallery that resonate with them personally. Today, Oona Baron, Social Media Manager at KÖNIG GALERIE, introduces GOATY by Swiss-born, New York-based artist Yves Scherer, a sculpture that speaks to her also because her name means “Little Lamb” in Irish.

Created in 2025, GOATY is made from patinated and painted aluminum. What Oona finds particularly compelling about Scherer’s work is the way he blends personal narratives with elements of pop culture, fan fiction, and digital imagery. With sensitivity to material and atmosphere, Scherer’s works offer a romantic, sometimes melancholic perspective on the self and its representations.
