UNVEILING ART TALK
12 JUNE 2026 | 3–4 PM
On June 12, Postbyen in Copenhagen will host an evening of drinks, good company, and a first look at renowned artist Jeppe Hein’s new installation, SOMETHING BETWEEN US, opening as part of 3daysofdesign. The project is commissioned and curated by Creator Projects for Postbyen.
Following the presentation, Marie Nipper, CEO and co-owner of Creator Projects, will host an art talk with Jeppe Hein. The conversation will explore Hein’s relationship with public art and the ways in which art can transform and activate the spaces around us.
SOMETHING BETWEEN US is a public artwork by Jeppe Hein, created for Postbyen in collaboration with Creator Projects. The interactive water sculpture explores water as a living material in public space, continuing Hein’s practice of works that invite play, presence, and human connection. For the first time, Hein uses coloured lighting to highlight the various water walls and the spaces they create.
Set within Postbyen—a former industrial site that once served as the centre of Denmark’s postal service for more than a century—the work is embedded in an urban landscape shaped by transformation, where historic architecture and contemporary city-making intersect. As part of this evolving district, the sculpture functions as an active spatial element within the public realm, shaped by movement, encounter, and everyday use.
The work unfolds as an open and participatory environment in which water acts as both material and medium, creating shifting conditions for interaction, rhythm, and sensory experience. It invites visitors to engage directly with the space, activating moments of pause, curiosity, and connection within the city.
