The exhibition brings together artists featured in the haubrok foundation’s new publication, "Hardcore: A Passion for Collecting Attitudes".

Jeppe Hein, SMALL NEON CUBE, 2005

The work SMALL NEON CUBE by Jeppe Hein consists of a single cubic structure constructed out of neon tubes. A sensor turns off the light when a visitor enters the room so that it becomes impossible to actually experience the work from close up and within physical reach. It can only be viewed from a distance.

During Berlin Art Week, the group exhibition will be open on September 13, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. as part of the “Another Sunday Afternoon” event program.

JEPPE HEIN
Jeppe Hein (b. 1974 in Copenhagen, Denmark) is a Danish artist based in Berlin. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Arts in Copenhagen, Denmark, and the Städel Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Jeppe Hein is widely known for his production of experiential and interactive artworks that can be positioned at the junction where art, architecture, and technical inventions intersect. Unique in their formal simplicity and notable for their frequent use of humor, his works engage in a lively dialogue with the traditions of Minimalist sculpture and Conceptual art of the 1970s.
