On the occasion of Berlin Art Week 2026, Soho House Berlin presents a playful and unexpected installation by Austrian contemporary artist Erwin Wurm, transforming the hotel’ s lobby into a surreal world where the boundaries between the human body and everyday objects begin to blur. Inspired by the concept of DREAMERS, the installation invites visitors to pause, look again, and enter Wurm’s imagined realm of dreams.

Presented in collaboration with Porsche, the project celebrates creative change makers who have the courage to dream. The partnership draws on the legacy of Ferry Porsche, whose vision and passion transformed the automotive world, creating a fitting dialogue with Wurm’s own playful approach to transforming familiar forms.

ERWIN WURM
Erwin Wurm (b. 1954 in Bruck an der Mur, Austria) lives and works in Vienna. His oeuvre comprises sculptures, photography, video, performance, and painting. His works often involve everyday objects such as cars, houses, clothing, luxury bags, and food products, with which he ironically comments on consumerism and capitalist mass production. Wurm gained widespread popularity in the 1990s with his “One Minute Sculptures”. Museum pedestals are displayed and left devoid of any work, so that the audience can take the place of the sculpture for one minute, according to the artist’s whimsical instructions.
