Tue Greenfort calls his latest works, which are shown here on full-page panels, “Linear Deflection.” The Danish artist, who has recently garnered attention with numerous international exhibitions, likes to use small interventions to draw attention to utterly mundane—and precisely for that reason often overlooked—occurrences in both public and private spaces. Greenfort is increasingly interested in ecological and economic issues: against the backdrop of global interconnections, his work addresses environmental and species conservation, as well as resource management and sustainability in light of the scarcity of raw materials. Greenfort approaches these themes with subtle humor and intelligent references to the art of the 1960s and 1970s. The essays provide background information on the themes and working methods and document the research and creative process behind individual groups of works.
