Standing at Kunstraum Heilig Geist is Jeppe Hein's MODIFIED STREET LIGHT, transforming the playful installation into a serene scene.

Jeppe Hein’s installation invites visitors to engage with it physically, whether by sitting, lying down, resting, or playing, shifting the experience from passive observation to active involvement. Bathed in summer light, its bold shapes are softened by warmth, transforming the space into one of lighthearted energy and openness. No longer bound to their conventional role, the MODIFIED STREET LIGHTS become playful prompts for curiosity, encouraging new ways of seeing and connecting within public space.

JEPPE HEIN

Jeppe Hein (b. 1974 in Copenhagen, Denmark) is a Danish artist based in Berlin. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Arts in Copenhagen, Denmark, and the Städel Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Jeppe Hein is widely known for his production of experiential and interactive artworks that can be positioned at the junction where art, architecture, and technical inventions intersect.
