His work is characterized by a complex interplay of art history, technology, science, and nature. Berresheim studied under Albert Oehlen at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and at the HBK Braunschweig with Johannes Brus.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr aria-hidden=\"true\"\u003eHe describes his artistic practice as “artistic archaeology of the present.” In digitally generated models of contemporary visual cultures—shaped by hybrid fragments drawn from art and image history—he explores inherent creative possibilities, meanings, and potentials for future artistic practices. Working at the cutting edge of technological possibilities, Berresheim continuously seeks new forms of visual expression.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr aria-hidden=\"true\"\u003eHis artistic research combines high-tech approaches with a strong DIY mentality. Through his “archaeology of the present,” he traverses existing visual archives, appropriating and transforming material in order to speculate on forward-looking potentials.
