Amalia Pica at Kunstverein Freiburg

Amalia Pica's first institutional solo exhibition in Germany opens on 16 September at Kunstverein Freiburg.

Pica’s dynamic, sculptural installations and their performances, which she develops most of the time especially for them, generate new communicational forms and languages. You could get almost the impression that Pica constantly tries to reinvent the wheel of the artistic expression. Metaphors about the troubled newer political history of her south American home appear to form out of her works.
