Mühl

In his work, the Austrian Bernhard Fuchs is an outstanding representative of portrait and landscape photography. His images achieve a special stillness and artistic density. In his most recent works, which were taken again in the Mühlviertel in Upper Austria, his native region, in the years from 2014, he has captured details of nature on long walks that he regularly undertakes there: Stones, water, trees, sky. Through the intensity of his gaze, which communicates itself in light, colors and various optical weights, he manages to make the seemingly small and inconspicuous recognizable in its great significance. The photographs were taken between 2014 and 2019.
